Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern the provision of services by ClearPath Languages to clients and individuals. By engaging our services, you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them carefully.
1. About us
ClearPath Languages ("we", "us", "our") is a language services provider based in the United Kingdom. We provide professional interpreting and translation services to organisations and individuals.
References to "you" or "the client" mean the person or organisation engaging our services.
2. Services
We offer the following services:
• Face-to-face interpreting
• Telephone and 3-way call interpreting
• Document translation
All services are subject to availability. We reserve the right to decline any engagement at our discretion.
3. Bookings and instructions
All bookings and service instructions must be confirmed in writing (email is acceptable). A booking is confirmed when we have acknowledged receipt and confirmed availability.
You are responsible for providing accurate and sufficient information to allow us to deliver the service. We accept no liability for errors or shortcomings arising from incomplete or inaccurate instructions.
4. Cancellations
Cancellations must be made in writing. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee where reasonable notice has not been given. Specific cancellation terms will be communicated at the time of booking.
In the event that we are unable to fulfil a confirmed booking, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and endeavour to provide an alternative arrangement where possible.
5. Fees and payment
Our fees will be agreed and confirmed prior to the commencement of any service. Payment terms will be stated on any invoice issued.
Invoices are payable within the period stated. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
6. Confidentiality
We treat all information shared with us in connection with service delivery as strictly confidential. We will not disclose any such information to third parties except:
• Where necessary to deliver the service (e.g., to the assigned interpreter)
• Where required by law
• With your explicit consent
All interpreters and translators engaged by us are bound by confidentiality obligations.
7. Professional conduct
Our interpreters and translators are neutral and impartial. They do not offer opinions, advice, or commentary. They interpret and translate accurately and faithfully, without advocacy or editorial input.
Clients must not ask interpreters to act outside their professional role. Any concerns about conduct should be raised with us directly.
8. Limitation of liability
We take reasonable care to ensure the accuracy of all services we provide. However, we cannot guarantee that every interpretation or translation will be free from error, and we accept no liability for losses arising from reliance on our services beyond the value of the fees paid.
We are not liable for any consequential, indirect, or special losses.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
9. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise agreed, you retain ownership of any documents you provide to us for translation. We retain no rights over client materials following completion and delivery of the service.
Translated documents produced by us are delivered to you upon receipt of payment in full.
10. Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
